abandoned rusty A112 Abarth

Kit / Model

Autobianchi A112 Abarth

Manufacturer

Fujimi

Item Code

12473

Scale

1/24

Description

this A112 abarth originally painted in blue color, with white bumpers: unofficial colors for a "tuned" car used to race as unofficial competitor with gentleman drivers... till it layed abandoned in the rear courtyard of a garage, wher grass fights against asphalt, litter and broken glasses are abandoned near the fence. The varnished body was sprayed with matt finishing paint, then spread with gray subtle dust coming from mountain river, to simulate dust and dirt. Rust was realised using acrylic colors in any part that was more prone to be attacked, and in several places a hot blade was used to reproduce holes and scared surface from rust. Interiors were treated to reproduce dusty cockpit and rotten seat fabric; a dirty cloth was abandoned on the driver's door, an old branch is glimpsing out the rear window, mechanical spare parts are abandoned all over the cabin. Spray paint graffiti are seen on both sides... The diorama with musk and asphalt lays into a cigar box...
