Hommage en rouge*

Kit / Model

Ferrari F1-87

Manufacturer

Gunze Sangyo

Item Code

N/A

Scale

1/24

Description

* Homage in red

I used this very simple Gunze Sangyo curbside kit of the Ferrari F1-87 to realise the 1988 Monza version, when Berger and Alboreto won the Italian Grand Prix after Senna retirement, a few weeks after Enzo Ferrari's death. Engine, gearbox, rear suspension, rear wing, instrument panel, steering wheel have been completely scratchbuilt and many other parts have been corrected.

There was about 50 parts in the original kit. I kept only 30. But in the end, i used about 760 differents parts.

The related WIP has been elected WIP of the year in scratchbuilt and detailing category on the french Website Forum Auto
