2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR

Manufacturer

Revell

Item Code

Scale

Description

This was my first attempt to build a car model, it was builyt on March of 2009, and the final result is a great model, I just added some thin sheet to make the seatbelts, some wire to make the brake lines, the door lock knobs, and some electric cable to simulate the turbo charger hoses, and the battery cables, the plated cobras are from the original kit but whas thinned by sanding them, and hand painted, the plated rims were striped, getting them in clorox, and then painted usisng Model Master Metalizer Aluminum plate, the stud were painted with Chrome Silver form testors. The general paint job was done usisn Tamiya Acrylic X7 Red, under Dupont Urethane clear (Super Productive ChromaSystem Clear), The blackl stripes were painted with Tamiya X18 Acrylic, and the tyres were changed from the originals included in the kit to and aftermarket Fujimi PirelliĀ“s, because the originar were some out of scale, getting with this, some agressive tone to the Mustang. The "COOL" California license plate was added from a decalset from other model... Hope you like...
