Brabham BT48 Monaco conversion

This is the last kit I finished before summer holidays. It has been relased by MFH under the "easy line" which means it is a curbside kit with no engine detail.

Modifications to the kit are removing the moulded radiators and replacing them by scratch build rediators including opening the radiator vents and replacing the flaps. The cockpit was detailed using Tamiya BT50 monocoque parts and the front wheels turn and steer. Skirts are also movable and seat belts were replaced by after market parts (the kit comes with a white metal part for the seat belts similar to the latest Tamiya kits). The bodiwork was shortened to represent the Monaco version including a modification of the rear central section. The rear suspension is more or less a copy of the Tamiya BT50 parts and so the rear brake ducts needed a vertical extension.

From my point of view the kit has a good fit as usual for MFH and provides nice details like rivets for the rear wing end plates. Only mayor inacuracy is that the radiator arrangement is not correct as it represents the angled arrangement of the BT49 instead of the horizontal radiators.
