Can-Am Porsche 917-10 L&M 1972

Hello,

I wan't you all introduce to this classic Can-Am beast called the Porsche 917-10, driven by George Follmer.
This was the answer in 1972 against the dominating orange McLarens.
It was also called the TurboPantzer. With his twin exhaust turbo's it pushed out some 900 till 1000hp, 1972 we are talking about here!!
With topspeeds of 230Mph (380km/u) on straights.
I'm allready done with this one but it's not totaly finished yet, so that's why I posted it in the WIP section.
It took me more than 1,5 year to finish because of my busy life.

I replaced the resin tires for rubber slot-tires.
For paints I used Zero paints Base and Zero Paints 2K clear on top aswell Tamiya paints. Also used BMF aluminum.
I wired the dashboard and interior, weathered and drybrushed the interior
and did some painting with Tamiya smoke to bring things to life.
The rims are painted with Alclad II chrome and handpainted the inner spokes semigloss black. Added tire valves and rimweights (don't know the word in English)
The wing supports broke all the time when I was fitting the huge rearwing.
So they ended their lives under my fist and I soldered new ones from brass, also did the same with the secundary rearwing.

I only have to repair (with the right paint mixture) the wing decal on the back and scratch a ignition switch.
That's all!! O, and make some proper pics by daylight.

I hope you liked it so far, when I'm back from our skiing holiday I finish it of and make the daylight pics, I promise!
