Mack CL713 Elitte with an NRC industries 9040ms slider

This is my latest model. the Mack CL713 Elitte with an NRC industries 9040ms slider with a detachable under reach.

The truck
The resin cab is produced by All Seasons Collectable Toys but I have bought the kit on E-buy some years ago. The kit includes the cab, floor pan, seats, dashboard, hood, grill, bumper and mudguards. The rest do you have to made at your self.

To build the chassis I have used an old Italeri Peterbitlt kit including the axles. The chassis was lengthen and the fuel tanks, exhausts etc, came out of the box with spare parts.
The wide front wheels were made of two tires witch where cut at 60% and glued together again.

The Recovery unit
The NRC-industries slider was completely scratch build. To get enough information I have used a lot of photos, books, and a drawing taken from the NRC website. Together it was enough to build the slider crane ant detachable under reach.

How it works
The under reach is hooked at the end of the crane boom. By lifting or lowering the crane it is possible to give the under reach an other position. By push out or slide in the boom it is possible to change the angle of the under reach. To lift a heavy load it is possible to slide the crane backwards or to create a bigger reach of the crane. If it is necessary to create more working room behind the truck you can detach the under reach. The slider has two winches but for recovering of a over turned truck there is an extra winch at the and of the body.

The decals are made on the computer but are printed by Scalaprint.
