EAF Mig 17 F 1973 Yom Kippur War

Kit / Model

Mig 17 F

Manufacturer

Smer

Item Code

N/A

Scale

1/48

Description

The kit is an old one, but the best available on the market for the time being,. The whole model has been sprayed with liquid putty and sanded, several times, in order to smooth the surface and remove the engraved panel (too large and too deep) . The cockpit has been super detailed with the help of a very old set from Eduard dedicated to the Mig 17F and a lot of scratch building. All guns, pitot , probes and areas come from brass and steel tubing of various sizes. Even though the original decasl are not so bad, I used a sheet from HDL. For the masking job thanks to the Tamiya tape.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY!
