Ferrari 126 C2 Long Beach '82

This is the kit I am currently working on and as usual I need to detail it although this was not the original intention.

I started with the monocoque and added 2 bulkheads in the front area, relocated and scratch built the pedal assembly and added brake cylinders and fluid reservoirs including wiring. At the top side reinforcement panels were added made of white plastic card.

After that I started working on the engine; assembled the block and begann detailling the turbo chargers with fittings and fasteners.

Made some progress this weekend and finished the monocoque assembly. The cable channels are made of Al sheet metal.

Furthermore assembled the engine block and gearbox and painted it. The connections for the water circuitry were scratch built using plasitc card and brass rod.

The progress is pretty slow in the last weeks as my job keeps me busy. So the engine made little progres, the exhausts were prepared and the ignition and fuels system was detailed.

The holiday season made it possible to spend more time on this build and so I made significant progress. The engine is completed and chassis, undertray and engine have been assembled. Rear suspension will be finished the next couple of days. Now the missing point is basically to get the cowling parts painted red. Temperature is currently so low (-10 to -20°C) in Germany that I don't dare to airbrush as I usually do it outside.

Finished the kit this weekend. Decals went on without any problem.
