Toyota Celica Gr5 '78 version

Kit / Model

Toyota Celica Turbo Gr.5

Manufacturer

Tamiya

Item Code

20009

Scale

1/20

Description

This is the first time for several years that I am building a "non F1" kit; to keep at least the scale it is a Tamiya 1/20 kit of a "German Touring Car championship" competitor of the late 70's.
As usual there will be some detailing like adding brakes and tubing / wiring.
Finished the front suspension including scratch built brake detail
Next step is the assembly of the interior / cockpit; progress is quite fast due to a lot of preparation work of various parts in the last weeks.
Completed the chassis last weekend with water radiators including tubing and finished the engine assembly.
Progress was limited during the last weeks as it is coming to the final stages and mainly details are now left to fix. The chassis assembly is completed.

Finished the bonnet this weekend which was the final missing part.

Thanks for the positive feedback, I hope you enjoy the pictures

Nice paint job !!
I don't like the real car. I think that the real car is a little ugly but ever, I love see a good work in a model car.
Continue working this Toyota.
Good luck.
