I has had my Airfix, 1/12 scale, Birkin Bentley 4.5 litre, French Grand Prix 1930, on this showroom, I built it and special decal from UK. Tim Birkin who drove this Bentley 4.5 Litre, in Pau. I has researched my Birkin Bentley books and library. I made this Birkin Bentley on since 2009. I delighted your Birkin Bentley on your showroom, and thumb up I made up the wiring connection and conversation set with my Birkin Bentley Cheerios

Juist beautiful. I have one unbuilt but will build straight from the box as i don't have a lathe or any sophisticated metal fabrication tools. This kit is getting very hard to find. I forfunate to have one. I may leave the fenders off mine also but i'm going to try very hard to make them work.
cheers,
Bill

yes, I would have left the mudguards off too, a real pain to fit on this kit.
Its a shame no one ever did an after market 'trans kit' for this model,. Overall its a great kit but begging for extra detail and proper wheels

Micheal the kit straight out of the box fits together very well but the level of detail in this large scale is crap !, It requires a lot of extra work to get an accurate Bentley from the kit this is now my fourth build of this kit for different customers.

Hi,
How is your take on this kit in general? Worth the purchase? How is the overall fit, detail? I understand that wire wheels are probably just plastic imitations and need to be replaced with scratchbuild ones, but other than does it come together well?
Thanks.
Mike

Great job!!! I also have that Airfix kit in the box, and plan to build it in the near future, trying to scratchbuild as most parts I can with metal with the aid of my lathe. Well done. Paco
