Ferrari 312B driven by Mario Andretti

This is Tamiya's 1/12th scale Ferrari 312B driven by Mario Andretti. I used Studio 27 decals to reproduce the car that tried to qualify for the 1971 Monaco GP. The original car had fuel pump problems during qualifying. Once the fuel pump problems were repaired it began to rain and Mario was not able to make the field. I choose to model this car because I like the blue stripe that follows the body front to rear. I also replaced the kit supplied helmet head with a more accurate resin one that I cast myself. The decals also suggest that you apply the # 6 decal at an angle on the front nose. This was incorrect as the # 6 decal should be straight up and down.
