M35 Prime Mover

The idea of a prime mover was an easy conversion by way of removing the turret from an m10 and adding a towing printle to the transmission housing.
The rest of the chassis was built straight from the box with the addition of extra gear. The interior was built with a little logical thinking, folding seats, crew storage, lockers for tools etc. Figures are from the spares box, markings are from a large US Armored Corps decal sheet.
The 155mm field gun is the old Peerless model with the metal barrel and springs, it was built straight from the box with the addition of a box, tarp and a cover over the buissness end of the gun barrel.
As a last desperate measure to bring an old kit to new standards I ground all of the molded-on tools off of the back end of the m35 and replaced them with Italeri tools, was a little more satisfied after everything was painted. A very easy conversion to do if one has a big gun to add, more preferably a Long Tom!
