A pair of Alfas

Kit / Model

Pocher Alfa Romeo 8c

Manufacturer

pocher

Item Code

K71

Scale

1/8

Description

These two Pocher Alfas where completed for the same client in two versions. The Milla Miglia type, driven by Nuvolari in the '33 event (i think) and the white model, named 'Muletto' and driven by Caracciola into 2nd place in the Monte Carlo GP 1931.

Anyone who has made these early Pocher kits knows the difficulties encountered during the build and these two have been heavily modified with parts available from 'Model Motorcars' (complete engines, suspension etc) and in the case of the Millia Millia version, a transkit from Leggenda e passione and a lot of scratch building.

The pictures show the models almost complete... a few straps etc to be added

The kits incidentally were sourced on ebay... They are becoming rare and very expensive now
